Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in an ICMR funded Research Project entitled “Structural Insights of Outer Membrane Proteins (OMPs): Combating Gram-negative Bacterial Pathogens".
Objectives of the Project The main aim of project is to study Outer Membrane Proteins (OMPs) from Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria.
The proposed studies include bioinformatics analysis, molecular cloning, protein expression and purification, biophysical characterization and crystallography.
Eligibility Essential Qualification: M.Sc. / M. Tech. Degree or equivalent in streams like Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biomedical Engineering/Life Sciences/Nanotechnology or in any other science and engineering stream with valid GATE or UGC-CSIR (JRF. Desirable: Candidates having experience in working with cloning, expression, and purification of proteins from bacteria, protein characterization and crystallization, etc. are encouraged to apply. CSIR / UGC/ DBT-JRF fellowship holders would be preferred.
Monthly Stipend: As per norms (i.e. about Rs. 31,000 + 16% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided))
Age: Below 28 years on the date of application Duration: Initial appointment will be for 6-12 months, which is extendable up to a maximum of 30 months solely based on performance.
