Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of ‘Junior Research Fellow’ in a SERB funded research project with following details:
Title of the project: Near net-shape forming of tailor welded blanks to develop cost effective lightweight auto-body parts for industry

Name of the position: Junior Research Fellow
Number of Positions: 01
1. BE/BTech (or equivalent Degree) in Mechanical/Production Engineering from a recognized institute/university or statutory body OR equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10); For SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 grade points on a scale of 10).
2. Should have qualified through GATE or CSIR-UGC NET Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with working experience relevant to the project. Candidates with one or more of the followings skills are strongly encouraged to apply: 1. Knowledge in metal forming and related simulation work 2. Coding skill: MATLAB, Fortran etc.
3. Experience with FE codes: Abaqus. LSDYNA etc. Age limit: 30 years Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month (consolidated) Duration: One year or up to the termination of the project, subject to half-yearly performance review.
