IITB Project Recruitment:

Project title: Cooperative Nonlinear Guidance Strategies for Simultaneous Interceptionwith Finite-Time Convergence;

About the project: This project is about the design of cooperative guidance strategy for several missiles/vehicles to achieve simultaneous interception of the target. Modern targets are becoming technologically advanced which imposes several challenges for vehicles to complete their mission. Simultaneous attacks by weaker adversaries against a stronger one are effective. This project aims to design cooperative salvo guidance strategy using finite and fixed-time consensus in coordination variables. This project will also attempt to develop cooperative salvo guidance, against various targets, at a time either pre-specified or decided online. Guidance philosophy would be based merging the concepts of consensus in multi-agent systems and nonlinear control techniques to cater for the communication capability of vehicles, along with the robustness against the erroneous measurements/estimation of data and uncertainties.

The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.

Candidates called for interview will be required to attend at his/ her own expenses. For any queries/clarification please contact: recruit@ircc.iitb.ac.in
