Organizes 3-Days Short term Course on
Recent Trends in Machine Learning and Soft-Computing
December 18-20th, 2020
Sponsored by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP)-3, MHRD
Course Content Machine Learning (ML) is a systematic study of algorithms and systems that improve their knowledge or performance with experience. SoftComputing (SC) is a sub-paradigm of Machine Learning which includes the methodologies that embrace approximate reasoning, imprecision, uncertainty and partial truth in order to mimic the remarkable human capability of making decisions in real-life, ambiguous environments. Soft Computing has therefore become popular in developing systems that encapsulate human expertise. This course would cover the basics of ML and SC as well as their recent advances in real-life applications including those in optimisation, data analysis, data mining, prediction, and diagnosis. Besides learning the basics and applications of ML and SC, the participants of this course would also get a flavour of recent challenges in these interdisciplinary areas.
